ABOUT

The Biola Media Conference celebrates 13 years of rich history advancing the integration of faith and the arts. Topics covered touch on issues faced by Christians in media stretching from feature films, short films, television, music, to church ministry, comic books, marketing, and a multitude of other venues.

Past speakers include Ralph Winter (Exec. Prod. X-Men, Fantastic Four), Scott Derrickson (Director, Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Day the Earth Stood Still), Michael Zoradi (President of the Disney Motion Picture Group), Steve McEveety (producer, The Passion of the Christ, Braveheart), Michael Klausman (President of CBS Television City), Erwin McMannus (author, The Barbarian Way).

Every year stories emerge of projects born and partnerships forged as a result of the networking opportunities. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe began as a conversation between Disney and Walden Media execs who met over lunch at the BMC. The award-winning film, Bella, found its distributor when it screened in front of the BMC crowd in 2007. Strategies are identified and ideas find homes as like-minded industry professionals share in their common endeavors.

"90% of marketing directors plan to increase their spending in digital, and this is the year we're seeing more and more marketing directors realize that digital is the fulcrum of advertising."

From a study at the Interactive Advertising Bureau

At an all new location on the CBS lot in Studio City, CA, this year's Biola Media Conference seeks to provide more of a networking opportunity and educational experience than ever. Crossing all platforms of visual storytelling media, we're exploring production, content, distribution and marketing with an eye on innovation and design for the digital age. With the amazing track record BMC has afforded in the past, this year's opportunity promises to be a major event in developing a robust future for Christian in the industry marketplace
